Christmas Is All About Love, For One Another

It is the season to be jolly. It is a time of ornaments,  decorations, silver bells, holly, mistletoe and lit up Christmas trees. It is also the time for our universal words of "Merry Christmas!" Christmas for me is all about precious time with family. For some the meaning gets lost in tinsel and gift-giving.

The true meaning of Christmas is love , as quoted in the gospel of John "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of love.John 3:16-17

So be of good cheer and hold your precious family close and may God Richly Bless You.

What Do We Do When the World is in Conflict ....

There has been so much public sorrow into the tragic school shooting. Words could not possibly express the horror and anguish we all felt upon hearing that special T.V. broadcast.
The social media that has been unleashed is also creating much conflict. Gun laws, shooting, children, mental illness, face book and twitter have not stopped since the tragedy began.
There is no right or wrong, no simple band aid, the hurt goes beyond unspeakable as this tragic story unfolds just as the world is preparing for one of it's most celebrated holidays, Christmas.

Yes bad things happen to good people, yes there is much conflict in the world, senseless acts of violence with no justification leaves one with a sense of hopelessness. But for all the bad there is good and the world from here to afar is banding together to pray, mourn and stand in the gap for all the victims and their families.

In the twinkling of an eye, our world as we know it may just cease to exist, cutting our hearts and crushing the  security in our very souls, leaving confusion in its wake.
The reality is, tragedy isn't interested if your good or your bad or your  walk of faith or your devotion to God. Tragedy strikes suddenly and decisively; it's up to us how we deal with how it affects us .
What do we do when the world is in conflict, we stand firm..... we fight the good fight of faith... we keep moving, we keep doing, we reach out till we can't reach further. We don't stop moving , we keep going.
For all the families, an expression of words in a blog or face book can never express our sorrow for your losses..... May God Bless.... I know he sent an Angel to every child to silence their cries instantly... because his loving arms were already there. I declare it, i decree it, I believe it... so should you..

Its All As It Should Be

If your struggles are bigger than you.... maybe your struggling against yourself.

How often do you face obstacles in your life? Do you stand before the mountains or do the mountains stand before you? Do these negative energies re-emerge in your life, over and over and over again?
Do you hesitate to allow your destiny to run your life or do you struggle to make your own destiny? Think about this. God is running your life anyway and the problem is you keep thinking you know better which steers you away from where you need to be, this causes the mountain to loom before you and  causes you stress and anxiety. Don't try to fix the system, the universe is perfect in every aspect, you will feel much better when you go with the natural flow, the natural energy of life, the natural order of things.
Do the birds of the sky starve because someone forgot to feed them? Does God not provide food and shelter for them?
Trust that all is as it should be, stop struggling and let go and watch and see what happens, your mountains are only as big as you see them.

Our Mistakes Do Not Define Who We Are As People

Be Free.....
What is it about human nature that causes us to see others from the viewpoint of a recent failure. I recently read the biography of Steve Jobs and was inspired by his story.
Instead of dwelling on the mistakes of the past, he looked at what caused those situations and attempted to remedy them and make sure they didn’t happen again. (Didn't happen again..... remember these words as they are the key to our success.)
In order to remedy what went wrong the first time we need to delve in and get to the bottom of our mistakes. We all fail. Successful people fail often, but they go one step further, they learn more from that failure than everyone else. What we need to do is Forgive our self. Understand that we are here to learn and evolve from our mistakes. They do not define us, nor do they need to hold us in captivity and keep us from a happy and fulfilled life. There is an intelligence that is within each of us and guides us. Begin to let this source guide all your actions. Have faith that all outcomes are directed by the source (higher power...God). Start by setting goals..... or intentions and then let go of what that outcome should look like. Be a person of integrity and stay true to what you commit yourself to. Gandhi said, "the victory is in the doing," not the results. Live with consistent values and learn to trust yourself. What you choose to place your attention on is what becomes your reality so choose your thoughts wisely.
Let Go and Let God.....leave the rest in his hands, as a friend once told me, "some battles are fought best on our knees."

God Brings The Right People At The Right Time.....

Joel Osteen said it best when he said." People act differently around those they think can do something for them- people who have status, wealth or influence in life."
I have to agree and say that often it is the stone in our lives, the unlikely, the unassuming, the ones who appear to have nothing to offer, that are linked to your destiny, but most often we are too busy chasing the diamonds.
We may think that the people of status and wealth and the somebodies will be the ones to open doors for us but the real-somebodies in our lives don't just open doors they are the ones who walk through them with us. They are the key-holders.
Treat everyone with honour and respect. open your eyes to the unlikely, the imperfect, the ones who offer nothing they are often the ones who have an abundance of lessons tucked deep within the folds of their unassuming attire. Most successful people will tell you a story of a simpleton who propelled them in ways they never imagined, and if you don't believe me, look in the bible for how many biblical stories lead you on this path.

I believe how we treat people is the real test of who we are. How we act when no one is looking, and the million dollar question, "whats in it for me?" doesn't come -up in thought or conversation.
take time today to stop and reflect...... God uses the most unlikely people to turn ours lives around.
